A teenager whose mother was critically injured just before Christmas turns to a curmudgeonly teacher for help in finding the one magical item that could save her life in this holiday fantasy for the entire family. His mother struck by a car while shopping for Christmas presents, 15-year-old Eddie (Joseph Phillips) is devastated to learn that her chances of survival are slim. His optimism is rekindled, however, when his mother comes to him in a dream and reveals that she will make a full recovery if he can find her a real halo.
