The most important and joyful day for some Christians will be the Day of Judgment, yet it will be most regretful for others! For some, the joys of salvation will fill their hearts as they acknowledge the holiness of God, the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I can imagine the event but not to the degree it probably will unfold. Nor can I imagine the despair and/or sorrow that will fill the hearts of those whom Jesus will say, "I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity." This statement was made by Jesus to those who practice evil! "Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [a]adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, [c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God" Galatians 5:19-21 New King James Version. Consequently, a multitude of Christians will experience this traumatic occurrence. We know this because, as noted above, there are varying Scriptures which reveal this prophetic truth. We all know that unbelievers will be cast into a furnace of fire for their failure to believe in Jesus Christ and to follow the leading and guiding of God's Spirit. However, there are those who profess to be faithful Christians who are not and who will not be saved! These individuals attend churches all over the world; many are faithful workers in the church, yet they are the ones who quench the Holy Spirit by living according to the demands of their lustful flesh! Jesus speaks of the narrow way to life when He prophesied these words. "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it" Matthew 7:13-14 New King James Version. His words reveal that "only a few" will find the way to eternal life in the Kingdom of heaven!Jesus' parable of the wheat and tares identifies the mixture in the church and the infiltration of the tares which are identified as the sons of the wicked one (Satan). There is also the parable of the ten virgins. Virgins are symbolic of today's Christians. The text characterizes those who will be saved versus those will not! The parable also reveals the vital importance of God's Spirit in the lives of faithful believers, as well as, the dangers of quenching the Holy Spirit as Christians. Hence, this book will challenge your heart to examine your love, faith, belief and trust in God and our Lord, Jesus Christ. I pray you are worthy of becoming an eternal son or daughter of God because many will not!
