Very Good in Very Good jacket. Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; 1st Edition, exlib hardcover in tan tweedy paper covered boards with a blind stamp illustration on front board with light surface soil and stamp on head of page-block. Spine ends bumped, tips still fairly sharp. 192pp text. Endpps have some tiny writing, a couple of library stamps, pocket still attached, discoloration from tape residue. One speck of soil on the text inside (page 92). Some wrinkles and negligible handling soil from page turning. Original clipped dj has a sticker tag on spine, some surface soil on white background of rear panel, barely noticeable tape residue on flaps, displays well in new mylar. Like every nine-year-old, Chris Leonard longed for some real responsibility. At last the opportunity came when she was left in charge of the house, her father and little brother for the weekend.
