The majority, however, fit the bill quite nicely, with tracks that range from the highly atmospheric (Future Sound of London's "Papua New Guinea") to the downright playful (the Roland 303-driven "Zorg" by Sadie Glutz). Along the way the compilation producers find spots for rushes of spacy synthesizers and a dose of sampler-based modern exotica. The diversity of styles, influences, and mixing methods help to provide the set with its edge (or, perhaps, lack of it).
