Front panel showing two children seated at a dinning table. Part of 'Father Tuck's 'Golden Gift Series'. Illustrated in colour and b/w throughout. No date, [1897]. Twelve full page chromo-lithograph plates. Illustrators include: Harold Copping, Frances Brundage, Edith Scannel, and Major Giles. Some rubbing at corners, slight edgewear with slight browning to endpapers and slight wear at internal hinge, otherwise sound, near very good with clean text and plates.

Introduction by Percy Fitzgerald. Containing tales re-told by Dickens granddaughter and others. 12 inserted chromolithographed plates, and monochrome drawings by Harold Copping. First issued in 1911 in a limited edition of 500 copies, for the benefit of Dickens five grand-daughters, this appears to be the trade edition. A scarce title of a wonderfully illustrated work in exceptional condition. No previous ownership marks. A very clean, square, unmarked copy, Mild wear to tips and spine ends. A very good+ copy.
