This book by Welton and Mallan would be helpful to anyone going into the educational field--especially those who will be teaching social studies--or those currently in the field. I have the 3rd edition published in 1988 and find that the ideas are still valid.
The ideas discussed in the chapter on Observation and Listening were especially interesting..
