Seller's Description:
Very good. This special copy of "Chemistry for the Graphic Arts" by Nelson R. Eldred is not only a valuable educational resource but also holds a personal touch. Inscribed by the author to his son, the inscription reads, "to Lois from Dad...February 1, 1992 Nelson R. Eldred." While a stamp from an organization partially covers the signature, the author's heartfelt dedication is still visible, adding a unique and sentimental element to this book. The hardcover edition is in VG+/Near Fine condition. The covers remain in excellent shape, and the binding is firm, ensuring a secure reading experience. As previously mentioned, there are two small abrasions on the front flyleaf. However, the interior pages are clean and free of markings. This book, spanning 374 pages, covers a wide range of topics, from basic chemistry to specifics about carbon compounds, photography, lithography, paper, inks, toners, coatings, and related subjects. It's accompanied by black and white illustrations that enhance the learning experience. Rest assured, the book will be meticulously packaged for shipment to protect it from the elements. Additionally, a USPS electronic tracking number will be provided free of charge to allow you to monitor the progress of your shipment. This book is really only good for people who are going to work in the printing industry... it's really basic chemistry with specific references to the sort of chemicals and substances one encounters in a press room, such as: inks, solvents, clean-up solutions, etc. Also, it's easy to understand if you're one of those people who dreads reading a text book.
