This album features Mapfumo's signature chimurenga sound (heavily mbira-influenced guitar lines with added drum sets, etc). One of the nicest things about chimurenga is, simply enough, that it's African guitar work that isn't soukous (soukous is great, but something different is certainly welcome from time to time).
