Not illustrated. 1873 Excerpt: ...Maude, and the next evening they were the guests of Lord Dufferin, the Governor-General, at the castle, the Quebec residence of the Canadian governors. During their brief stay in Quebec they visited the principal places of interest near the city, and enjoyed themselves considerably. On August 20th they arrived in Montreal, and on the 22d they began play in a match against twenty-two of Montreal, the majority of whom were members of the Montreal club. The bowling and fielding of the Montrealers was only fair, they not playing up to the mark they were capable of reaching under ordinary circumstances. At the bat Captain Henly was the only player who scored double figures in both innings. Mr. Siddell's 10 being the next best score. W. G. Grace of course bore off the palm on the English side with a score of 82, and his fielding, too, was quite a feature. The following is the full score of the match, sent us by Mr. J. A.
