Inside text appears to be unread. No writing or markings in the book. Outside cloth covers are very nice. Dust Jacket is in Good Plus condition with some minor soiling primarily to the back cover, small tears, and some heavier edge chipping to include the outside spine. Some smaller missing pieces primarily at the front cover bottom edge. Dust Jacket is NOT price clipped (195/195) and is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Good. 1955. Signed by author on seperate insert. Presumed first edition, 2nd printing. No DJ. Some subtle markings on covers, spine has discolored somewhat over time but is still fully legible. Minor shelf wear. Front flyleaf appears to have had plate that was carefully removed. Book illustrations have faintly bled onto adjacent pages but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Binding is tight. Adhesive on back paste-down apears to have discolored inner edge.
