It is indented by bays and inlets, and has a number of excellent harbors, of which the most important are those of Sydney and Louisburg. On the northwest the inlets are small, and generally of little practical value. The chief are Port Hood Harbor, the mouth of the Mabou River, Broad Cove, the mouth of the Margaree River, and Cheticamp Harbor.
