Red Canary tells the story of a man released from prisoned after robbing a bank as a young man. He returns to the farm where he grew up to find a daughter he knew as a baby now a teenager struggling to find herself and now having to deal with a father she doesn't know. Mason does not return to the farm alone. He brings along the canaries he has been breeding and raising while he was in prison. The story goes along as Mason and his daughter become close, as Mason gets another chance at love, as he showes his new breed of canaries and as he survives being tracked down by his old bank robbing partner now turned successful real estate agent. A well written story with an interesting and well informed look at the canary.
