An engaging story!
By Evening�s Light by Leslie Gould is an engaging dual timeline story. I thought the story was well written with developed characters. This story focuses on Treva and Rosene. Treva is restless after returning from her mission trip to Haiti after breaking up with her boyfriend and Rosene learns some upsetting news. Rosene begins telling Treva about the man she loved and lost hoping it will help her niece. The story goes back and forth between the present day and just after World War II. It was interesting getting a glimpse at Germany after World War II. Some people went out of their way to help others and their country. Rosene�s story was appealing. We got to catch up with the characters from the previous books as well. I did find the pacing to be leisurely. By Evening�s Light is the third Amish Memories novel. I recommend reading the series in order as it will allow you to get to know the characters and their backstories. I enjoyed the ending, though, I am sorry to see the series come to an end. By Evening�s Light is a touching tale about forgiveness, family, friendship, adventure, faith, and second chances.
