Execellent Overview of the Indian Wars
An excellent overview of the Midwest Natives' battle against the government for a place in their own country. Very well researched and documented, Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee is an excellent introduction to this turbulent period for the Native American. Deeply engrossing and incredibly compelling, you will find yourself outraged at the many broken promises and injustices that the American government committed against the American Indians. This book is a classic, lauded by scholars for its historical accuracy, and required reading for anyone interested in this period of American history.
