In Bunny's Honeys, a compendium of beautiful vintage pin-up girl photos from the arsenal of the legendary Pin-up beauty queen model turned Pin-up nude and semi-nude photographer Bunny Yeager, Yeager's style and sense of photographic balance are clearly on view once again.
In the 1950s-1970s, Yeager had been revered in the then-still burgeoning "mainstream nude magazine" genre as the penultimate success story: one of the few women working in a genre of photography often reserved for male photographers, Bunny Yeager availed herself well as both a technically and aesthetically proficient photographer as well as a trusted confidant of her female subjects as a result of Yeager's start as a professional nude and semi-nude model herself.
As a result of her talents, Yeager had been able to enjoy a sizable amount of prestige and singular success while working for a multitude of clients including the still-then-fledging Playboy Magazine. In addition, Mrs.Yeager had also been responsible for developing and fostering a wide variety of talent including one of the pin-up world's most notorious bad girls, Betty Page.
Often lambasted as being too "old-fashioned" toward the end of her career in the late 70s-early 80s by the then male-dominated world of nude photography depicted in Playboy and Penthouse Magazine, Mrs. Yeager's love affair with erotic photography had been cut far too short, far too soon. However, "Bunny's Honeys" is worth the price and the wait, as a welcome inclusion in the growing catalog of work dedicated exclusively to the blond-haired Floridian bombshell turned erotic and pin-up photographer.
