If you know anything about building computers you have absolutely no use for this book. The process for building a carputer is almost exactly the same. This book follows the construction and installation of one specific carputer. The basic gist of the book is "Plug A into B" and a list of the products available that a simple internet search would bring up. You will learn much more by surfing the forums and read about many people's experiences with installing custom systems.
