draculas city
i bought this book recently, after searching a year for it. was i dissapionted?, only a little. but only becouse,i expected a much thicker book.other than that, i did enjoy the book,it was filled with many, many quite large pictures, all in full color. there a few pictures of bucharest from the early 20th century in b/w, the pictures are of modern day bucharest. the pictures shows you a city that you were not expecting, not a old creepy city right out of a horror movie, but of a large clean busy city with wide tree lined boulevards, and nature enclosing it and moving into it werever it can. the book also has some text to read, about the history of this grand cosmopolitan city that the real dracula, prince vlad tepes founded back in the 15th century.its more of a overview than anything else. the book really is about the photos.from goverment buildings and city parks to restteraunts to private homes you see the real bucharest. so if you plan on visiting romania or just curious about the land of the vampire, get this book!.
