Am 3/4 into the book and other than a scattered reference or two until then this really doesn't go into details of her life (other than the reason she went to war against Rome) since there are very few records from this time as to her life. Goes into detail of Rome's battles with the Celts/Britons until it get to her and makes mention once that it was doubtful she was full commander of the armies that went into battle against Rome. If you want a book like this it's for you - if you want a book about the queen herself it's not.
