Although the battle has been described in great detail from many sources in the past, very little till now has fully described the ships themselves. This book goes further in making the reader aware of the the resources each commander had at his disposal and the outcome as a result, in so doing shows John Paul Jones's immense resolve even more so. Not only does this book deal with the particulars of this battle, but describes the class of ships of this era and the duties they were designed to perform. A great informative read.
