The least fun of the books so far for me. Although there was a lot of needed dialogue, that's exactly what made a good chunk of it a slog to read. Most of what the book served as was a dialogue and character development dump. With just enough gritty action to keep you into it, Blood of Elves was still an interesting read and definitely serves as a huge build-up to what is going to happen in the next books. I'd still suggest reading it to keep up with what's going on, but I don't think I'll ultimately consider it a favorite in the series at all.
