This book was really good, as all of Walter Mosley's work, however, there was a sadness present throughout the entire book, and it was a little unsettling. Just not what I'm used to when reading any of Mosley's books.
All or most of his books are somewhat violent and move rather quickly from one character to another; but this one moved a little slower and was less violent. It was almost as if Easy had gotten a little tired - and although he agreed to help ease Etta Mae's mind by looking for Mouse - it also seemed that his heart just wasn't into it - or anything else for that matter.
The anti-climatic ending didn't help. I hope this isn't the last we see of Easy.
Overall, the book was good - just not one of Mosley's best.

Mosley Does It Again!!!!
Nothing but an Easy Rawlins mystery has twists and turns this gripping!!! Blonde Faith, Walter Mosley's newest in the Rawlins series, opens up where the last one, Cinnamon Kiss leaves off, with a whole new set of issues for Easy to deal with, while he self-analyzes himself and his relationships with family, friends and how he views morality. This one is a keeper, with a surprising twist at the end that will leave everybody wondering..............how can Mosley top this?!
