This is a great book. you will not want to put it down and get ready because as soon as you read it you will want to read the rest of the books that go along with it ( red, white, showdown, saint, sinner, chaos, renegade, infidel, and chosen). All of the books go together to make a great story that you will not want to put down. And soon to include green, elyon and lunatic to be out at end of 2009.

Read this trilogy!
This was the first Ted Dekker book I've read, and while I had a hard time getting started, when I finished, I had to get the 2nd book right away! Dekker is very descriptive and creates fantastic images for the reader. A mix of science fiction, mystery & Christian nuances - this is a good book for anyone looking for a good book without offensive language or sexuality. This series just gets better with each book.

Great Book!
This is a great book! I love the allegory and symbolism, and all the unexpected twists. This is my favorite fiction series! I highly recommend 'Black', 'Red', & 'White'!

A Great Read
This book is so full of imagination and thought provoking plot twists. I moves along smoothly and effortlessly and takes the reader on a journey between two different worlds flawlessly. Ted Dekker has become a very polished fiction writer and I highly recommend this book if you are looking for a real page turner.
