Birds of the Carolinas is very useful in identifying the birds found in that area. In my work I photograph many birds and have found this book one of the most usable of all my several bird guides. Of special interest is the information on the history and habits of individual species. Though the photos are small they are photos rather than drawings. This book is well worth the price and would be a great candidate for reprinting and/or updating. I highly recommend it.
