This book shows in detail the relationship between resilience and selected internal/personal protective factors (social competence, problem solving skill, autonomy, sense of bright future and view of work) and external/environmental protective factors (social support, peer support, and family cohesion) among working children. The participants of the study were 300 street-based working children with the age range of 12-14 sampled from district 11/12 and district 13/15 of "Addis Ketema" sub-city of Addis Ababa where street based working children are found in large concentration. Correlation analysis revealed that from the selected internal /personal protective factors, social competence, problem solving skill, autonomy and sense of bright future were positively and significantly related to resilience while view of work was not significantly related to resilience among working children. From the selected external/environmental protective factors resilience was found to be related positively and significantly with peer support and family cohesion while social support was not significantly related to resilience among working children.
