SIGNED BY JASON ROBARDS AND HUME CRONYN. First play by Hugh Wheeler who later went on to write the books for several Stephen Sondheim musicals including "A Little Night Music" and "Sweeney Todd." Wheeler also wrote many mysteries under the pseudonyms of Patrick Quentin and Q Patrick. The play was directed by John Gielgud and had a nice cast that included Ruth White, George Grizzard, Elizabet Wilson, Martin Gable and the two signees Robards and Cronyn. Although it ran for only 101 performances it won two Tony Awards one for Gielgud's direction and a supporting Tony for Martin Gable. Illustrated with 3 interior photos + one pasted on the front cover. A touch of toning to the white back panel and spine which also has a tiny touch of chipping. Fine/fine. Also included is the original playbill for the production.
