A delight!
Adriana Trigiani's Big Stone Gap series is a joy to read. The series is about Ave Maria, a misplaced Italian immigrant's daughter who is quickly approaching middle age. The series begins with a twist on the classic middle aged nervous breakdown and Ave Maria's struggle to understand the many secrets of what she thought were two simple parents. Trigiani's Big Stone Gap series will capitvate and entertain as she skillfully weaves tragic and humor and pain and love into a grand tale.
