VG-(Wraps show shelfwear and minor foxing; pages are very clean and bright; text block edges show minor foxing; binding is solid; laid-in pieces are in near-perfect condition) Pink wraps with silver lettering and illustration and French flaps, which are illustrated inside the flaps; 59 pp; two unnumbered pages of plates; richly illustrated. An additional piece of art, created from a vellum envelope with black lettering, holds another piece of art constructed from soft plastic inside. These are laid-in. This is an incredible book, which includes an essay by Peter Clothier. It was "Published on the occasion of a two-part exhibition of Betye Saar's work: Selected assemblages, July 2, 1984-October 7, 1984 [and] Oasis, October 20, 1984-January 6, 1985"--Page [2].
