Vassar, Jr., Cornelius Dubois, C. Swan, the Reverend H. Malcolm, and the farmer, workmen, and builders. "Few remarks by M. V. and Malcolm Revd Mr. M. asked God's blessing on the undertaking."2 The building went steadily on through these war years, and the various committees studied and reported on plans for apparatus, museum, library, etc.8 A portrait of the founder, by order of the Trustees, was painted by Elliott, and this and Wright's portrait were exhibited at the Baptist Church, there being no other place of sufficient 1 Entered as June 4, in Minutes of Joint Committee; otherwise confirmatory of the diary.
