This recording, the first of two made by Belgian conductor Philippe Herreweghe and his Collegium Vocale Ghent, was recorded in 1988 and appeared the following year. Its reissue in 2010 at a budget price (as low as U.S. $7.99) may make it the version of choice for a sheer cost/benefit consideration.
