I'm going through this book with my younger sister; I am hoping to instill in her a sense of her identity, worth and beauty. This book is an excellent tool to help teach her look to Jesus Christ to answer her questions about who she is. It is written toward girls who have the dream of growing up to become a princess, which speaks effectively into my little sister's heart, as it does to most girls around her age. Authentic Beauty is well written, packed with Biblical Truth, still easy to read, and relevant/easy-to-relate-to. It has sparked some great discussion between us regarding true purity; what that means, what it looks like, and how to live it out right here and right now.
I strongly recommend this book for girls who are 12-16 years old; even more strongly I encourage a mom, mentor or older sister to go through the book with her.

Excellent!!
Ths is one of the best books for young girls/women in particular and also for some of us older ones about how valuable we are to Jesus. So many women try to find their value and itdentity through the eyes of the opposite sex and others rather than through the eyes of God and how he values them. In so doing they go through numerous relationships with guys, ending up having more hurt and emotional baggage in their lives and never really know how truly valuable they are. I have 9 daughters and at least 5 or 6 of them have read this book and really enjoyed it and found it an excellent tool to encourage them all the more in their value as a woman. Some of my daughters have shared it with friends. The book even blessed me after haveing been married for many years.
