Illustrates the features of a full range of disorders with nearly 450 brilliantly reproduced figures--394 in full colour. Examines all currently recognized types of lymphoma. Depicts a wide variety of lymphoid hyperplasias and lymphadenitis to help readers distinguish these conditions from lymphomas. Features equivalent diagnoses in other classification systems for each type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Describes normal lymphocyte differentiation to familiarize readers with the range of changes that may be seen. Makes diagnosis and differential diagnosis easier with precise descriptions of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and Hodgkin's disease, lymphomas in persons with abnormal immune systems, and unusual disorders such as granulocytic sarcoma and mast cell disease. Explains the principles of the R.E.A.L. classification system in a cogently written preface.
