Even then the piece resists holding its shape, as Dørge and his musicians keep the listener guessing as to their path. Jobarteh's kora and vocal are the centerpiece of the Gambian folk song "Fode Kaba," with Dørge's infectious arrangement gradually joining the celebration. "Swaralaya," penned by Indian flutist Shashank Subramanyam and featuring its composer initially on bass flute and later on Indian flute, is a captivating composition that is full of tension.
