And interesting but by no means easily readable book, Mr. Felak's book explains the evolution of the main conservative and nationalistic party in interwar Slovakia (then part of Czechoslovakia): father Hlinka's People's Party. From its acceptance of the union with the Czechs to avoid remaining part of Hungary, to its more and more radical demand for autonomy to its final achievement of illusory independence under Hitler's sponsorship.
More for the specialist or the person deeply interested in the inner Czechoslovakian politics than the general reader, though.
