The Aspen Ski and Snowboard Guide is a one of a kind Trail Guide to all of the in-bounds skiing at Aspen's Four separate ski hills - Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass. Not your standard trail map, this guide takes the art of ski hill representation to a new and unseen level, combining tons of aerial photographs of the mountains with drawn on run representation and individual run descriptions. The thing that makes this book unique is that the majority of the trails described cannot be found on any trail map, and reveal the best hidden stashes of powder, bumps, cliffs, and heavenly tree skiing that these four resorts exemplify. A pocket sized book, it easily fits inside a ski jacket for reference on lifts or in the chalet. The author, Neal Beidleman, of Into Thin Air fame, is a lifelong Aspen resident and has shown us the future of ski resort guides.

this is an awesome book for anyone planning to ski Aspen. it lists only the expert lines, makes it just like having a guide without paying for one. my only regret is i didn't hear about it until AFTER my first trip.
