Averrohoa bilimbi, a star in the world of medicinal plant, belongs to the family Oxalidiaceae. It is used as traditional medicine for treating cough, cold, itches, boils, rheumatism, syphilis, diabetes, whooping cough, and hypertension. A survey of the published literature shows that there is no research work for the assessment of thrombolytic potential of A.bilimbi. This book is different to others as it also reports the thrombolytic potential of A.bilimbi. Thus, our study could be an instant and effective methodology to study thrombolytic potential of newly developed drugs as well as known drugs.
