This wasn't one of the better world-music releases of 1991, but it has its moments, including the Golden Gate Gypsy Orchestra's "Tov L'Hodot," and a fine example of Russian Gypsy music; Hamza El-Din's version of the traditional Islamic song "Mwashah," and Ustad Sultan Khan's tranquil Indian raga offering "Raga: Bageshree." But Hart's own material isn't nearly as exciting -- "Udu Chant," for example, fuses new age and African music with weak results.
