Appalachian Breakdown is a reissue of the Everest Records release called Traditional Music of Southern Appalachia, which in turn was put out by Tradition Records under the title Instrumental Music of the Southern Appalachians. All three collections contain the same 20 tracks, although the sequence order varies.
