Seller's Description:
VG+ Wrappers. Light blue and white rear cover and spine, pictorial front cover are all clean and glossy. Book has just a trace of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tips of the outside corners. Book would be NF grade, but there are two small tan watermarks on the rear cover right around the tip of the lower outside corner-both about 1/4" deep, one is about an inch long and the other about two inches along the lower edge of the rear cover. The shorter one appears also on the outside edge of the last few pages-smaller, of course, as you go in-until it disappears at "H" in the book's bibliography. Binding is straight and tight. Outside of the two small watermarks noted, pages are all clean, white, and crisp. 351 pages. Some illustrations. Relatively uncommon. Lavoisier was a French nobleman and chemist who was a central figure in the 18th Century chemical revolution, and marked his place in history by both recognizing and naming Oxygen and Hydrogen.
