This book is great. It gives a background on Phantom history from the book to the big screen. They include imformation on some of the other film versions such as with Chaney, Rains, and Lom. Some of the more recent films like the one with Julian Sands are left out. The section on Webber's film is great. The script part shows readers what was left out and changed in the final version. I'm not sure what draft was used for the book , but parts of the script are different from the movie. Of course there are tons of pictures. Gerard Butler fans will be happy with chosen shots used in the book.
