Very good in very good dust jacket. Sewn binding. Paper over boards. 638 p. Audience: General/trade; General/trade. 1989 edition with DJ as pictured. Binding strong, pages tight. No marks or writing. DJ shows light wear for age
As a white man, I do not think I have had a great understanding of the emotions and motivations of the blacks in the civil rights movements. I thought the book was insightful and helped me understand. I think Rev. Abernathy gently nudges the halo from the head of his close friend, Dr. King concerning his women and sources of his speeches.
