As I am currently doing research into Classical letters and letter writing I seized upon this book and was not disappointed. It covers the whole classical period - both Greece and Rome - and is a series of papers by Classical specialists into the ancient art of letter writing and the letter writers themselves. Very interesting and all the papers, though taking very different view points, are informative and well written.
