In reality, this book (in the 2nd Edition) is a very elaborate treatise on Seed Plants, with B/W drawings, and very clear printing. Any person interested in the science of plants should have read at least parts of this, mainly because of the clarity in the descriptions. It is one of the 20th century fundamental books on Plant Anatomy.
