Brilliant, as a mature Uni student I have decided to buy all the books on my reading list, I feel they will stand me in good stead for the future. Wonderful information and an asset that hasn't cost the earth.

Not as Good as the 3rd Edition
This guide is lucid and clear compared to some other 'difficult', shall we say 'pseudy' texts while also providing useful commendations for further reading/references.
However, this is, I think, the 2nd Edition? The 3rd edition, which I own, is expanded with extra chapters on recent developments on literary theory, so bear that in mind when buying this - Unfortunately the newest, the 3rd, is in high demand and can be expensive and/or uncommon second hand, as students hold onto them!

An Introduction to Literature Criticism and Theory
I have only read a few chapters. I was told that the book woul be very helpful for teaching literary theory to teenagers but I have found the way it is organised a little hard to follow and the book not easy to read. I will persevere.
