This book is loaded with beautiful color illustrations and has great information on materials and techniques, but was missing specific "step-by-step" instruction on how to "build" my painting. I had hoped for more of a pictoral tutorial to walk me through painting a particular project from beginning to end. This book is definitely a keeper as... far as reference material, however I did not consider it a "beginners" primer.

this book ws a big help and had alot of information tht i had not known before and i hve been a full time artist for 5 yrs, it is one of the best to strt out with.
