I first read this novel about 30 years ago at the recommendation of a friend. It was a truly wonderful read; a great story from start to finish.
I made the mistake of lending it to someone and never asked for it to be returned. Many years later, I regretted it hugely and had been trying to get hold of another copy ever since. I have it now and it was again wonderful to read it a second time, albeit after 30+ years. I recommend it to anyone and everyone who likes a good story.
