Good. 16mo 6"-7" tall; 214 pages; Period binding of full calf over boards; red morocco title label to spine. Prior ownership of Jacob Bucher, dated 1820, in manuscript to the front flyleaf and twice signed on the rear pastedown. This is possibly ownership of John Jacob Bucher of Harrisburg/Hummelstown, twice a member of the PA State legislature. Leather rubbed and worn at edges. Front board slightly concave. Tea toned damp stain to the top half of the text in the first 40-50 pages. A strip of canvas tape bridges the gutters of the front flyleaf and following blank endpage. Lower corner of the 2nd front endpage has loss. Scattered and apparently unrelated pencil notations, numerals and doodles in margins. Contents complete. Early Baltimore imprint. Good only.
