At a whopping 40 tracks -- culled from every Gurus album and including all the hits -- Ampology is an energetic, comprehensive portrait of this Australian pop/rock outfit. Though the Hoodoo Gurus certainly could rock -- and they rocked hard, at that -- they also had some excellently catchy pop songs, and that is what truly distinguished their career.
