Seller's Description:
Very good. Connecting readers with great books since 1972! Used books may not include companion materials, and may have some shelf wear or limited writing. We ship orders daily and Customer Service is our top priority!
This is one of the best books I've read. It is blunt, honest and answers questions I've had from that era. I learned a great deal. Being from near Sioux City, gave it a bit of "local" interest as well. Should be required reading in American History classes. Be advised however, 1/3-1/2 deals with his time as a POW and is extremely graphic. If too intense, those parts could be skipped and still get a lot out of the book. That said, it is a critical part of the book as it explains and shapes much of what happens in the rest of the book.
