On this album, American Girl, Juice Newton steps out with some new material for the first time in a number of years. She wrote "Nightime Without You," but many of the additional songs were recorded by other artists first, like Tom Petty's "Keeping Me Alive," Nanci Griffith's "Listen to the Radio," and Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."
