A scholarly work providing details of the tombs and temples at Tell el Amarna. The inscriptions on the tomb and temple walls, various stelae, and numerous clay tablets are used by the author to describe the political and social life of the Pharoh who allegedly had Egypt worship one God during his reign. He was also the husband of Nefertiti. Among the social customs of the Egyptian monarchs was marriage between siblings and sometimes father daughter marriages. Perhaps this is one reason why this dynasty died out to be replaced by Ramses I. The last chapter is a description of the archeological uncovering of the city of Amarna.
